What is Groov?

What Groov is, who it is for, and how limited editions, fanzone, and LUKSO fit together—without the product jargon.

Groov is a home for music releases where community matters as much as the file. Artists publish a track as a limited edition on the LUKSO network; fans who care enough to collect an edition unlock a members-only fanzone for that artist—unreleased songs, early listens, stems, notes from the studio, and the kind of perks you would only offer people who proved they showed up.

If you make music, the practical shift is psychological as much as technical. You are not only dropping another song into a feed and hoping the algorithm notices. You are inviting a defined group of supporters into an ongoing room around that release. You can see who holds an edition, gate the fanzone to them, and optionally recognise early collectors with a share of primary or resale income when you set those rules up front. When an edition sells out, collectors can list and trade on a secondary market if you want that culture around the work—still on terms you chose, not buried in a platform's opaque policy.

If you listen and collect, Groov is closer to membership than rental. You are not paying a monthly fee for access to everything; you are choosing specific releases you want to stand behind. Holding the edition is what opens the fanzone. The music and metadata live on-chain in a form other apps on LUKSO can read, so ownership is not locked inside a single company's database. The rich day-to-day fanzone experience—posts, audio, conversation—runs in familiar web software because that is where speed and flexibility live. We use the chain where proof and portability matter; we do not pretend the whole community lives there.

You do not need crypto fluency to start. Browse releases on Groov, and when you are ready to collect or publish, connect a Universal Profile wallet. If wallets and networks are new to you, the for-artists page includes a plain-language path in. Artists looking for a fuller picture of fanzone, editions, and economics can start there as well.

Groov is built by OG Labs. Questions are welcome at legal@groovonchain.com.
